Peppermint Affogato

If you think it’s too cold for ice cream, think again. Warmed up with hot, chocolaty coffee and zesty peppermint crumbs, this decadent dessert starts with a spoon and ends with a sip. Rich flavors and textures marry to create a milky, minty mocha that can be thoroughly savored without giving anyone the chills. Serve with Chocolate Gift Cookies or Pumpkin-Spiced Sugar Cookies.

Makes 1 serving

Ingredients

  • 2 scoops vanilla ice cream
  • Crushed peppermint candy
  • 1 cup hot brewed coffee
  • 2 tbsp chocolate syrup

Directions

  1. Drop ice cream into a mug and top with peppermint candy. In a separate mug, stir 1 cup coffee with chocolate syrup until blended. Pour coffee over ice cream.
