Instant Strawberry Sorbet

Strawberry sorbet ready in an hour or less? You bet!

Puree frozen strawberries, sweetened condensed milk and ice cubes in a blender for a silky batch of refreshing soft-serve sorbet. Serve immediately, or let freeze for an hour for a firmer set.

Makes 8 servings

Ingredients

  • 1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 pound frozen unsweetened strawberries
  • 1 ½ cups ice cubes

Directions

  1. Place sweetened condensed milk and a few strawberries in a blender. Pulse several times or until strawberries are finely chopped. With the blender running and the lid on, continue adding strawberries and ice cubes a few at a time until mixture is smooth, turning off the blender and scraping down the sides as needed to thoroughly incorporate ingredients. If mixture thickens too much while blending, turn off the machine and stir with a spoon to loosen.
  2. Serve sorbet soft or transfer to a plastic container and freeze, covered, 1 hour or until just firm.
