Chocolate Buttercream Frosting
Double-chocolate buttercream hits everyone’s sweet spot—particularly when topping Chocolate-Spice Cupcakes. Or use this velvety frosting for any sweet treat that needs a chocolate finish.
Makes 1 serving
- ½ cup butter, softened
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1 tbsp milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 oz unsweetened baking chocolate, melted and cooled
- 4 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
In a small mixing bowl beat butter, powdered sugar, milk, vanilla, melted chocolate and cocoa powder with an electric mixer on low for 30 seconds. Beat on medium 1 minute more or until smooth and creamy.
