Berry Brownie Pizza

For a sweet twist on tradition, try this luscious dessert pizza. Cream cheese frosting and fresh berries sit atop a brownie base. Our chocolate dough holds it shape when rolled out and baked on a pizza stone or metal pan. The result is a chewy and delicious foundation. Fresh berries with a sprinkle of powdered sugar add a sweet-tart burst of flavor to this rich indulgence.

Makes 12 servings


  • 1 cup + 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 ⅔ cups granulated sugar
  • 6 tablespoons butter
  • 1½ tablespoons water
  • 3 ounces unsweetened chocolate, finely chopped
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 recipe Cream Cheese Frosting (recipe below)
  • 1 cup sliced fresh strawberries
  • ¾ cup fresh blueberries
  • 1 cup fresh raspberries
  • Confectioners’ sugar for dusting


Heat oven to 350°F. In a medium bowl combine flour, baking soda and salt; set aside.

In a medium saucepan combine sugar, butter and water. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly. Boil 1 minute. Remove from heat. Add chocolate and stir until melted. Allow to cool briefly.

Beat in egg and vanilla. Add flour mixture to saucepan; stir well.

Spread batter onto parchment-lined cookie sheet or pizza stone to ½ inch thick. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes or until set. Cool on a wire rack. Spread Cream Cheese Frosting, below, over crust and top with sliced strawberries, blueberries and raspberries. Dust with confectioners’ sugar.

Cream Cheese Frosting

  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 4 tablespoons butter, softened
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2¼ cups confectioners’ sugar

In a medium bowl beat together cream cheese, butter and vanilla until creamy. Gradually beat in confectioners’ sugar until smooth.
