Tzatziki

This easy-to-make traditional Middle Eastern sauce is ideal with naan or raw veggies. Combine Greek yogurt, cucumber, minced garlic, fresh dill and lemon juice for a cool and creamy tzatziki to serve with an appetizer board.
Makes 10 servings
Ingredients
- ½ medium English cucumber, diced, plus additional for garnish
- 1 cup plain Greek yogurt
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp chopped fresh dill, plus additional for garnish
- 2 tsp fresh lemon juice
- ¼ tsp coarse kosher salt
- ⅛ tsp ground white pepper
Directions
- Place diced cucumber in a fine-mesh strainer and press to drain; discard liquid.
- In a medium bowl combine drained cucumber, yogurt, garlic, 2 tablespoons dill, lemon juice, salt and white pepper. Cover and chill.
- Transfer to a small serving bowl. Garnish with additional diced cucumber and dill, if desired.
