This easy-to-make traditional Middle Eastern sauce is ideal with naan or raw veggies. Combine Greek yogurt, cucumber, minced garlic, fresh dill and lemon juice for a cool and creamy tzatziki to serve with an appetizer board.

Makes 10 servings

Ingredients

  • ½ medium English cucumber, diced, plus additional for garnish
  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh dill, plus additional for garnish
  • 2 tsp fresh lemon juice
  • ¼ tsp coarse kosher salt
  • ⅛ tsp ground white pepper

Directions

  1. Place diced cucumber in a fine-mesh strainer and press to drain; discard liquid.
  2. In a medium bowl combine drained cucumber, yogurt, garlic, 2 tablespoons dill, lemon juice, salt and white pepper. Cover and chill.
  3. Transfer to a small serving bowl. Garnish with additional diced cucumber and dill, if desired.
