For a festive holiday celebration, few dishes are more anticipated than this pecan-studded spiral-sliced ham. Glazed in heavenly pure maple syrup and orange marmalade, it’s a surprisingly simple dish, too.

Makes 16 servings

Ingredients

  • 1 half spiral-sliced ham
  • ½ cup pecan pieces
  • 1 (12-ounce) jar orange marmalade
  • 1 (8-ounce) bottle pure maple syrup
  • 1 tbsp butter

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 300°F. Line a baking pan with two 24-inch-long pieces of foil, making an X. Place ham on its side in the center of the foil. Wrap ham tightly in foil and place in baking pan. Insert meat thermometer. Bake until ham reaches an internal temperature of 140°F, approximately 15 to 17 minutes per pound, or roughly 2 hours.
  2. In a microwave, toast pecans on microwave-safe plate for 1 minute. Stir pecans. Continue to cook on high for 30-second intervals until slightly browned.
  3. In a small saucepan, combine orange marmalade and maple syrup. Heat over medium-high heat, stirring often, until melted. Whisk in butter until smooth. Stir in pecans. In the last 15 minutes of baking, unwrap ham and baste with maple-pecan glaze. Bake ham, uncovered, for remaining baking time. Heat remaining glaze and serve with ham.
