Ingredients: ¾ cup packed brown sugar; 6 tbsp butter; &frac13; cup milk; 3 ¼ cups confectioners’ sugar; 1 ½ tsp maple flavoring

A delicately maple-flavored frosting for Maple-Pecan Donuts.

This delicately maple-flavored frosting is ideal for topping Maple-Pecan Donuts, or use it to frost cupcakes or any other baked treat.

Makes 18 servings

Ingredients

¾ cup packed brown sugar
6 tbsp butter
⅓ cup milk
3 ¼ cups confectioners’ sugar
1 ½ tsp maple flavoring

Directions

In a medium saucepan combine brown sugar and butter. Bring to boiling. Add milk and return to boiling. Remove from heat. Whisk in confectioners’ sugar and maple flavoring until smooth.
