Ingredients

  • 2 cups Corn Chex
  • 2 cups Honey Nut Cheerios
  • 2 cups rye chips
  • 1 cup mini pretzels
  • ½ cup melted butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • ⅓ cup maple syrup
  • ½ tbsp garlic salt
  • ¼ tsp soy sauce
  • 2 cups mixed nuts (pecans, walnuts, raw almonds, blanched almonds)
  • ⅓ cup maple syrup
  • ⅛ tsp salt

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 250°F. In a large bowl combine cereals, rye chips and pretzels. In a medium microwave-safe bowl, melt butter. Add brown sugar, maple syrup, garlic salt and soy sauce. Mix well. Pour mixture onto dry cereal mix and combine evenly. Spread onto a large baking sheet and bake for 45 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes.
  2. For nut glaze, preheat skillet over medium-high heat. Add nuts, maple syrup and salt. Stir frequently, until syrup is caramelized and nuts are toasted, about 3 minutes.
  3. When cereal mix is done baking, add glazed nuts and serve.
